Younger People with Dementia

Younger People with Dementia (Berkshire) charity was set up in 2012 to assist in filling this gap in provision for those with young onset dementia and their family and carers. Our aim is to provide meaningful respite that works with current provision over the working week.

Dementia Friends

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition. There are training opportunities available online or in a face-to-face Information Session for those wanting to learn more.

Search Dog Heroes Scent Kit

Some people are at risk of going missing and could be more likely to come to harm whilst away from home. Capturing and storing their scent using a scent kit provides peace of mind, and means a search can be launched quickly should the worst happen and they go missing.
